Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 45th KSCCM Annual Congress and Acute Critical Care Conference 2025, which will be held from April 24th to 25th, 2025.

The year 2024 brought unprecedented challenges amid a medical crisis that severely impacted emergency and critical operative care—cornerstones of acute medical treatment. In response, we have chosen "Reviving ICUs, Restoring Hope" as our conference slogan for 2025. Our comprehensive program will address both fundamental aspects of critical care and emerging topics, featuring distinguished speakers and innovative sessions designed to create an enriching experience for all participants.

This year holds special significance as we celebrate the 25th Korea-Japan Joint Congress—a remarkable milestone since the inaugural KSCCM-JSICM joint congress in 2001. Throughout the past quarter-century, our societies have fostered exceptional growth through mutual exchange and collaboration. We look forward to continuing this legacy of advancing critical care medicine in both nations.

We are proud to host our first academic conference at the newly inaugurated COEX in Magok, Seoul. This state-of-the-art venue offers excellent accessibility via subway connections to Incheon and Gimpo Airports, as well as Yongsan and Seoul Stations, providing an ideal setting for focused academic discourse. By sharing our collective experiences and insights, we can work together to enhance intensive care environments worldwide.

I am pleased to announce that KSCCM offers travel grants for outstanding abstracts submitted by international participants. I encourage you to seize this valuable opportunity.

Your active participation will be crucial to the success of this conference, and I look forward to welcoming you to Seoul.
